About Us

Bennah Empowering through Strategic Training (BEST), Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to empower the less fortunate in rural Liberia through education and vocational training. BEST, Inc. was founded in 2009 through the vision of its Chairman, Mr. Handerson W. Bennah, Sr. driven by his passion for human capacity building. In 1990 at the height of Liberia’s civil war, Mr. Bennah’s parents were forced out of their home in Kingsville at gun point by advancing rebel forces, who later occupied the house. Before leaving they damaged the house and plundered almost all of its contents. In 2003 marginal work was done to the building and converted into an elementary school, leaving much work to be done at future dates as funds are made available. The school is named after Mr. Bennah’s father who died in the United States in March 2004.

Since its inception in BEST, Inc. has assembled a hardworking and dynamic Board of Directors and has identified strategic empowerment projects to undertake in support of the children of Liberia. BEST relies exclusively on the thoughtful contributions from its donors to undertake empowerment projects. Our current focus is to complete renovating and refurbishing the Henry B. Bennah, Sr. Kingsville Public School in the Township of Kingsville, Liberia. Our vision for the future is to expand beyond the basic educational needs of the youths of the Kingsville area by providing high quality vocational training whereby they can become fruitful citizens of Liberia and the world. At BEST, Inc. we are devoted to transparency hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards.

All donations to BEST, Inc. are tax deductible and will be directed solely towards the various empowerment projects we will undertake for the betterment of the lives of the citizens of rural Liberia. We will endeavor to provide our donors regular updates on these projects via our website. We hope that you will share in our compassion to enrich the lives of those in need.
